Your body causes panic attacks, not your mindI’m a grown man… a tough one at that…

Crying should be out of the question, especially in public places.

This shouldn’t have happened to a guy like me…

I was in a shop called Everfresh trying to buy some vegetables for the week.

It was a kid who triggered it, bashing tins together and making as much noise as possible.

The noise, the people, the movement, it all just started to upset me for no reason.

Waves of anxiety and panic started washing over me, I needed to get away.

Unfortunately for me, I was already stuck in a queue.

Fenced in between two metal railings and a mass of people.

I was trapped.

By the time I managed to get out of the store I was sobbing.

Even at the time I wondered what other shoppers would have thought about this six foot five inch giant crying his eyes out in the middle of a shopping centre, for no apparent reason.

I was finished;

I had been struggling for years now. I really couldn’t see the point at all.

Living this life was like being in hell.

A lot of people suffer like me through these panic attacks.

If you are reading this, you no doubt are part of this unfortunate club.

If that’s the case then perhaps you will identify with this.

Whenever I had a panic attack it never felt like it was caused by me.

It always felt like my body was doing its own thing, and it made no sense to me.

I was given plenty of guides that were designed to help.

They all had one thing in common.

They were all tools designed to make my mind stronger to help me cope.

“But it’s not in my mind!!!”

I think I have said that to over 100 doctors, I still haven’t got one to believe me.

As a result I dived into my own research.

I was shocked at the total lack of information on the subject.

It was like the medical community had decided that panic attacks were a mental issue and no more thought about it was needed.

If it got too bad they just load you up with addictive suppressing medication, leaving you worse off than before…

This was lunacy?
